1. I have examined the accompanying Ordinance. intituled an

Ordinance to amend the Suitors' Funds Ordinance, 1896, and

I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not

contrary to the Governor's instructions.

2.

This Ordinance was submitted to the Secretary of

State, Lord Passfield, before introduction into the

Legislature and, with the exception of the final section,

bringing it into effect on the 1st January, 1932, it is

in the form approved by him in his despatch of the

1st August, 1931.

3. In my opinion this is an Ordinance to which His

Excellency the Governor may properly assent in the name of

His Majesty and on His behalf.
